GWR: Increasing environmental understanding in transport networks

Online training content development

To align all staff with their environmental aspirations, GWR wanted to team members from across the business to undergo environment training. The content for this training needed to identify the environmental impacts staff should be aware of and how they can support GWR’s environmental objectives as part of their role.

Project

Accelar developed comprehensive training material to engage all teams and levels of seniority within GWR in environmental improvements covering carbon emissions, energy, materials, water and being a considerate neighbour (air pollution and noise). The core motivations for the business’ environmental commitments were identified and communicated to staff.

Impact

The training material produced allowed the GWR training team to educate all staff in easily understood and engaging sessions, inspiring them to accelerate the business toward lower carbon emissions and reduced resource consumption.

We worked with Accelar on recommendation from another company. We needed training content designed on the topics of the environment and sustainability and dd not have a subject matter expert in our organisation at the time.

Accelar met with us promptly. They understood our brief and in a very short timeframe were able to create content for us that we were then able to use as a piece of learning for our entire organisation. They hit our brief first time and we are already received comments form our employees on how interesting they have found the learning we created.

I’ve nothing but positive things to say about Accelar and would love to work with them again should a need arise.
