At Accelar, we believe that Green Finance should hold the key to scaling up and mainstreaming nature restoration and accelerating other urgent climate-related and environmental outcomes. Our previous work within the sector has highlighted the benefits that accompany investment in nature, including improved societal outcomes, environmental outcomes and economic gains. Our experience in working with key stakeholders within the dynamic Green Finance arena puts us in a good place to advise on the many options and most appropriate pathways for environmental projects to achieve investable returns. This includes funding and financing models and mechanisms such as payments for ecosystem services, agri-environment schemes, habitat and carbon markets amongst others. There may not be easy blueprints for success yet in the fast-moving field of Green Finance and so our team brings to bear the combination of insights and experiences from the worlds of environmental planning, sustainability strategy, economics and private finance.

Accelar is well-placed to assist organisations exploring and look to seize Green Finance opportunities, such in relation to the new Natural Environment Investment Readiness Fund.  For example, we can help with:

  1. Pinpointing and tailoring successful funding models based on the current state-of-the-art;

  2. Appraising the commercial and wider value of any revenue generating approaches, allowing us to suggest the most promising course of action. This includes impact measurement, management and evaluating to ensure that the investment meets the needs of the natural environment and is sustainable to provide lasting impact.

  3. Examining how the revenue generating aspects of the proposal will be embedded and managed on an ongoing basis, allowing for appropriate focus on the nature-based outcomes.

  4. Applying the team’s extensive experience in writing and reviewing proposals and collaborative grant funding applications.

If we might be able to help you, please get in touch with Michael Smith via msmith@accelar.co.uk or 07853 919806. We would also be pleased to hear from if you have case studies or ideas to contribute to the forthcoming knowledge impact hub.
