Our Managing Director, Chris Fry, attends launch of Construct Zero 4th Quarterly Report

Today marks the launch of the Construction Leadership Council’s Construct Zero’s 4th Quarterly Report. Construct Zero is the construction sector’s industry-change programme response to the 2050 target, accelerating the sector’s transition to net zero and supported by over 200 companies. As part of the programme, they have engaged with industry to develop the Performance Framework, setting out how the sector will commit to, and measure progress towards Net Zero. 

The annual Construct Zero Performance Dashboard shows that the last 12 months has seen

the sector:

• Train more than 500 retrofit co-ordinators, with associated business accreditation 👩🏿‍🤝‍🧑🏼

• Connect 55,000 heat pumps by 4,100 trained & registered installers 🌡

• Deliver a 33 per cent increase in EV charging points ⚡

• Include carbon literacy in professional qualifications 👩‍🏫

Construction Leadership Council Co-Chair and Construction Minister Nusrat Ghani MP said:

“This report demonstrates the positive start our construction industry is making in the fight against climate change. I look forward to working with the CLC to accelerate progress in the years to come.”

Our Managing Director, Chris Fry, presented at the report’s launch event this morning. He joined many stakeholders from across infrastructure and the built environment, including those representing other Construct Zero Business Champions and Partner organisations. Chris shared insights from working with businesses and projects across the UK and how the drive to accelerate towards Net Zero is building momentum at a local level.
